FULFILLMENT OF DREAMS
GENESIS 37:5-11
Dreams on what we see in the night and dreams of what you aspire to be is categorized as a vision.
When God gave a dream to Joseph it is not just a dream to make Joseph satisfied. It is a dream of revelation of God’s purpose making Joseph as an Instrument (Genesis 50:20) (Romans 8:28)
Joseph’s dream fulfillment is only a result of God’s mighty plan and purpose.
We fail on our dreams because we think we can hire God for our ambitions, and we forgot God’s vision for us.
In the case of Samson, a gifted man of God that his purpose was revealed to his parents even the time before he was born (Judges 13:5)
1. EVERY FULFILLMENT OF DREAM ALWAYS DEPENDS ON HOW WE RESPOND TO IT.
God given dreams (a vision from the night or what you aspire to be) is a seed given to us by God
And our response to that dream plays a crucial role in the fulfillment of it.
The parable of the sower gives us an understanding that the seed is not the problem, it’s the condition of the soil determines the outcome.
Every God given dream is a seed that is sown by God unto our life and inside that dream (seed) is a purpose and a plan of GOD. (2 Chronicles 1:7, 10-11)
It is collaboration between God and man
2. FULFILLMENT OF DREAMS DEPENDS ON HOW YOU UNDERSTAND IT
-Understanding our dreams and the fulfillment of it requires a right mentality. Having the understanding that we are in the world but not of the world (John 17:14)
-Meaning it is having a spiritual mentality for us to know the will of God (Romans 8:5)
HOW GOD HELPS US TO ACCOMPLISH OUR DREAMS?
1. He creates problems (Genesis 37:18-19)
-God creates problems because He wants us to re-position us to accomplish his purpose
-re-positioning is not easy because it will always create a crack and movement that will not be comfortable.
- it is a preparation for the future
-Genesis 39:4-5 God created a problem in Potiphar’s house
-So in this situation we can see that sometimes our problems are God’s re-positioning to accomplish our dreams
-God creates problems to polish our character. (Genesis 39:1) (Genesis 39:21)
-God creates problems put our gifts in use (Proverbs 18:16) (Genesis 40:8)
2. God uses our relationships to the fulfillment of our dreams (Genesis 40:1-3)
-God connected Joseph to Potiphar, butler
-God connects us through relationships and by that we can say that
-We should treasure those relationships that God had brought into us (Ephesians 4:2-3)
-God connected Elijah to the widow of Zarepahth (1 Kings 17:8-16)
-Jesus (Matthew 11:19)
God use our gifts to fulfill our dreams (Genesis 41:15) (1 Peter 4:10)
THE CAPACITY TO FULFILL OUR DREAMS ARE ALREADY INSIDE OF US
-that is the reason why God give us gifts. Is to accomplish God’s plan and purpose -ex. Joseph, Samson
-Joseph has 2 gifts dream interpreting and management skill
-God uses those situations in life to create an opportunity to use your gifts
